Proceeds from all of our fundraisers benefit the Gouldsboro Volunteer Fire Company. In March of 2008, we put our new Engine into service to replace a 1976 Mack engine. You can see a picture on our apparatus page. It is with your continued support that we were able to do this so we can continue to serve you. We are 100% volunteer and there whenever you need us. We thank each of you for your support in everything we do.

| MVA and Tractor trailer fire |
Mon. Oct 19th 2009
At around 9:30 Monday night, Station 55 was dispatched to Route 507 & Phillips Road for a truck into a tree. Rescue 55 arrived on scene along with Chief 55A. The vehicle had struck a tree and the driver was still inside. Rescue crew stabilized the truck and disconnected power while EMS crews began patient care. The victim was removed from the vehicle and taken to the hospital.
While awaiting PSP, Station 55 was dispatched for a tractor trailer fire on I380 South. Reports were given at several mile markers. Rescue 55 was released from the MVA and went en route to I380, followed by Engine 55 and Tanker 55 from the main station. The incident was found to be at mile marker 15.5 Southbound, which is in Area 14. Rescue 14 and Tanker 14 also responded to the scene with Chief 14, who assumed command. Rescue 55 and Engine 55 arrived on scene to find a fully involved tractor fire. Crews went to work extinguishing the fire. Once Station 14 units arrived, crews from both companies worked together to perform overhaul on the tractor. EMA was notified for a ruptured fuel tank. Crews remained on scene until the hazardous situation was mitigated by the hazmat team.
