About Us

Welcome to Gouldsboro Volunteer Fire Company, a nonprofit organization established in 1946.  We are 100% volunteer with 22 active members.  We cover 27 square miles which is a portion of Lehigh, Clifton & Coolbaugh Townships in Wayne, Lackawanna & Monroe Counties.  We run out of 2 stations, our main station on Route 507 in Lehigh Township and our Clifton Township Substation on Route 435 in Clifton Township.  Our permanent population is 3200 which nearly doubles during the summer months.

We run 150-200 calls annually which includes dwelling fires, motor vehicle accidents, fire alarms, ice rescues, public service calls such as pumping basements, animal rescues and everything in between.  We run mutual aid with Thornhurst Volunteer Fire & Rescue and Covington Fire Company in Lackawanna County, Greene-Dreher Fire Company in Wayne County and Coolbaugh Township Volunteer Fire Company and Tobyhanna Army Depot Fire Department in Monroe County.
